Another Week, Another “Eine Gute Tat” Event.
In the context of a special project week at a regional elementary school, we ran a workshop on software programming, giving both pupils and teachers the opportunity to spend time in a completely different field. Having a focus on “fit for future”, our Calliope course was highly anticipated by the teachers and pupils. 22 third graders were cheerful as Leonhard Henkes arrived with a set of Calliope-mini devices to give them a hands-on introduction into programming. As this computer can be fully programmed, the classroom turned suddenly into a playful space for learning. After a short warm-up phase, most of the kids started to come up with ideas on their own. We are happy that our “Eine Gute Tat” program gave 22 kids a great first experience with computers, and software development. Most kids were even eager to continue using their own devices. Happy coding to everyone!
